Funding is now available through the California Fifth Climate Change Assessment’s Tribal Research Grant Program to support projects focused on climate research, Indigenous Knowledge(s), and similar projects deemed a priority by California Tribes.

Tribal Research Program Update and Listening Session
Please join a listening session on Thursday, June 22nd from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m to hear about the latest updates and opportunities to engage in California’s Fifth Climate Change Assessment’s Tribal Research Program, including in-person workshops the team is hosting throughout Summer 2023. The team is looking to hear from tribal partners on collaboration on indigenous knowledges and development of the Tribal Synthesis Report.

OPR has released a Request for Information (RFI) seeking input to inform California's Fifth Climate Change Assessment's (Fifth Assessment) Regional Synthesis Reports. The Fifth Assessment team will be hosting virtual listening sessions on the RFI during May 2023.

This session will provide an update the Tribal Research Program, a report out from engagement thus far, and will present Draft Grant Guidelines for the Tribal Research Grant Program.
