OPR plans to prepare an update to the California Advisory Handbook for Community and Military Compatibility Planning. You may recall from a previous email announcement that we requested your participation in an associated on-line survey. The survey results were helpful and we appreciate all the input received.
The next step in this process will be to conduct informational kick-off meetings for the Handbook update effort. A formal agenda and meeting logistic details will be sent in early January, 2015. The general goals of the kickoff meetings will be to discuss and collaborate on:
- Key Stakeholder Participation
- Purpose and Objectives for the Updated Handbook
- Suggestions for New or Additional Information in the Handbook
- Handbook Development Process and Schedule
OPR will be hosting two kick off meetings, one in Southern California and one in Northern California. As local planning officials, military representatives and key stakeholders with interest in land use planning, your involvement and contribution in updating the Handbook is essential.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org if you will be attending one of the kickoff meetings.
