Public Comments on SB 226 CEQA Guidelines Update
The Governor’s Office of Planning and Research wishes to thank all of those that submitted written comments on the revised draft of the proposed additions to the CEQA Guidelines related to infill streamlining. Comments submitted during the review period contributed significantly to OPR’s final Guidelines proposal. OPR transmitted its final proposal to the Natural Resources Agency on June 25, 2012. A copy of OPR Director Ken Alex’s transmittal letter to John Laird, California Secretary for Natural Resources, as well as materials associated with the final proposal, are available on OPR’s website.
The Natural Resources Agency will soon commence the formal rulemaking process to adopt the proposed additions. Those who wish to be involved in the Agency’s process should sign up for the SB 226 listserv here.
