Announcement: “Automated Vehicle Principles for Healthy and Sustainable Communities” Released


Developed through a collaboration of staff from CalEPA, CalSTA, Caltrans, CARB, CDPH, CEC, DGS, DMV, Go-Biz, OPR, and SGC, and with participation from CPUC staff, the Automated Vehicle Principles for Healthy and Sustainable Communities summarizes key principles for maximizing alignment between California’s automated vehicle (AV) policy and goals for climate, air quality, health, environment, land use, quality of life, and equity. The new webpage additionally provides links to key resources for automated vehicle deployment, including reports and briefs, research, early examples of local policies and plans, and a state AV legislation tracker.
