The Governor’s Office of Planning and Research will conduct a public meeting to receive input on proposed revisions to Section 15126.2(a) of the CEQA Guidelines. This proposal responds to the California Supreme Court’s decision in California Building Industry Association v. Bay Area Air Quality Management District (2015) 62 Cal. 4th 369. These proposed revisions specifically address the requirement to analyze hazards that a project may risk exacerbating.
The meeting will take place at 1:30pm on November 21, 2016, in the Cal/EPA Headquarters Building, Sierra Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. The meeting will be webcast for those that cannot attend in person. The broadcast can be accessed on the day of the workshop at http://www.calepa.ca.gov/broadcast/ . Staff will provide a brief overview of the proposed changes to Section 15126.2(a). An opportunity will be provided for public input on the proposal. Time limits may be placed on oral comments to ensure that all persons wishing to comment have an opportunity within the available time for the workshop.
